Every time we pick up a tool, be it our computer or hammer, we desire to leave a product of legacy. We believe:
- We must build to satisfy the needs of today while providing a relevant space and structure for the future.
- We must lead and innovate by exceeding the current building standards and codes.
- It is the responsibility of the craftsman and client to live as stewards of our resources.
- We can build so that occupants, as well as communities, can thrive with their environment.
- We must design through the lens of a "home as a system" and this allows us to examine each element and its interaction with the others.
- There are few truly sustainable methods of building. We must, as a community, make strides towards a sustainable life.
